Purpose of processing

Processing is performed for the provision of the website, its functions and its content, to answer contact requests and communicate with users, for general security measures as well as for reach measurement and marketing.

Legal basis for the processing of personal data

If we obtain the data subject’s consent for processing personal data, Art. 6 (1) (a) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is the legal basis.

For the processing of personal data that is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is a party, Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR is the legal basis. The same applies to processing operations that are necessary for carrying out pre-contractual measures.

If the processing of personal data is required to fulfil a legal obligation to which our company is subject, Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR is the legal basis.

In the event that the vital interests of the data subject or another natural person require the processing of personal data, the legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (d) GDPR.

If processing is necessary to safeguard the legitimate interests of our company or a third party and the interests, fundamental rights and fundamental freedoms of the data subject do not prevail over the first-mentioned interests, then Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR is the legal basis for processing.

If we commission third parties to process data on the basis of a “data processing contract” (such as web hosting), this is done on the basis of Art. 28 GDPR.

Revocation of your consent to data processing

You have the right to revoke your granted consent pursuant to Art. 7 (3) GDPR with future effect. You have the right to ask for confirmation as to whether the concerned data is being processed and for information about this data as well as further information and to ask for a copy of the data pursuant to Art. 15 GDPR.

Some of the cookies we use are deleted at the end of the browser session, in other words, when you close your browser (session cookies). Other cookies remain on your device and allow us or our affiliate (third-party cookies) to recognise your browser on your next visit (persistent cookies). Google will use this data on our behalf to evaluate the use of our website by the user, to compile reports regarding activities within the website and to provide us with additional services related to the use of the website and internet usage. In this case, pseudonymous usage profiles of users can be created from the processed data.

We only use Google Analytics with IP anonymisation activated. Integration of third-party services and content

On the basis of our legitimate interests (in other words, interest in the analysis, optimisation and economic operation of our website within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR), we use content and service offers from third parties within our website to embed their content and services, such as videos or fonts (hereinafter collectively referred to as “content”).

This always assumes that the third-party providers of this content can see the users’ IP addresses, since these providers cannot send content to users’ browser without the IP address. The IP address is therefore required in order to display this content. However, we endeavour to only use content from providers who only use IP addresses to deliver the respective content. Third parties may also use pixel tags (invisible graphics, also known as web beacons) for statistical or marketing purposes. Pixel tags allow data such as our website’s traffic to be evaluated. In addition, the pseudonymous data may be stored in cookies on the user's device and may include, but is not limited to, technical information about the browser and the operating system, referring websites, time of visit, and other information regarding the use of our website and be linked to such data from other sources.
